Water that comes in from outside is treated as contaminated, no matter how clear it looks. The industry standard sorts water into three categories, and storm surge, wind-driven rain, and rising ground water all land in Category 3, because they pick up whatever is in the street and the soil on the way in.
That changes the job. Carpet, pad, insulation, and drywall below the water line come out rather than getting dried, because you cannot reliably disinfect the inside of them. The work area gets contained so nothing travels into the rest of the house. Surfaces that stay get cleaned and treated before anything is closed back up. And the structure is dried to verified readings, not to how it feels.
A clean water loss from a supply line is a different job with a different price, and we will tell you which one you have at the inspection rather than after the invoice.
Worth knowing before you call your insurer: standard homeowners policies in Florida generally cover sudden internal water but exclude flood, which is the water that rises from outside.
